How to arrive

Cefalu Getting There, Italy

 

Cefalù is just 70 km from Palermo and is easily reached by car or public transportation.

  • By train: there are many trains to Cefalù from both Palermo and Messina. Times and information are available from Trenitalia's Call Center: 89 20 21 or at www.trenitalia.it
  • By sea: Ustica Lines connects Palermo and Cefalù hydrofoil. The trip lasts 1 hour and 10 minutes. There is more frequent service during the summer (June to September). Information and reservations: tel. 0923 873813 - fax  0923 593200 - www.usticalines.it
  • By car: from Palermo, take the A19 tollway towards Messina/Catania to the Cefalù exit. From Messina, take the A20 tollway towards Palermo to the Castelbuono exit and then take State Road 113 to your destination. From Catania, take the A19 tollway towards Palermo and, when you reach the coast, continue on the A20 to the Cefalù exit.

Traffic in the old town center of Cefalù is limited and parking is prohibited. Vehicles may enter from 05:00 to 09:30 and from 13:00 to 16:00. Tourists who are spending the night at a hotel in the old town center may only enter to load and unload baggage.
